Return/Refund Policy

Global Green Democracy Initiative™ and 7GENZ™
Effective Date: October 1, 2025

 

This policy applies to all transactions conducted through the ggdi.earth website for the Global Green Democracy Initiative (G.G.D.I.) and 7GENZ which are non-profit organizations.

 

Part 1:

Donations and Sponsorships
As non-profit organizations seeking registered charity status in Canada, we are required to adhere to strict guidelines set by the Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) regarding the return of gifts and donations.

​

General Donation & Sponsorship Policy (No Refunds)
Finality of Gift: All donations and sponsorships are considered final and non-refundable. Under Canadian law, a gift is a voluntary transfer of property (money or other assets) where ownership transfers completely to the recipient organization. Once G.G.D.I. or 7GENZ receives a donation, it is legally obliged to use those funds to further our stated charitable purposes, which are to heal humanity and move to sustainability through the G.G.D.I. non-profit model.

Irrevocability: This policy is in place to protect our charitable registration status (or future status) and ensure the integrity of our financial records.

 

Exceptions to the Donation Policy (Refunds Considered)
Refunds for donations or sponsorships will only be considered in rare and extenuating circumstances, as allowed by Canadian charity law, and are subject to the review and final approval of the Board of Directors of 7GENZ.

Possible circumstances include, but are not limited to:

  • Unauthorized Transaction/Fraud: If a transaction is proven to be unauthorized or fraudulent (e.g., credit card fraud, or a chargeback is successfully initiated by the donor's bank).

  • Technical Error: If a technical error by the website, payment processor, or our organization results in a duplicate charge or an incorrect amount being processed.

  • Data Entry Error: If a donor makes a clear and demonstrable error in entering the donation amount (e.g., intending to donate $50 but entering $5,000). The donor must contact us immediately upon realizing the error.

  • Failure of a Specific, Designated Project: If funds were solicited for a project or purpose that becomes impossible to complete or is cancelled entirely, the organization may be legally obliged to offer a return or redirect the funds to a similar purpose (in accordance with our governing documents).

 

De-registration of Charity Status: If a donor made a gift while we were a registered charity and that status is subsequently revoked by the CRA. (Note: This would only apply once registered charity status has been obtained.)

Requesting a Donation Refund
Time Limit: Requests for a donation or sponsorship refund must be submitted in writing within [Insert Number, e.g., 30 or 90] days of the original donation date.

​

Procedure: All refund requests must be sent via email to sammy71@ggdi.earth and must include:
• Donor’s full name and contact information.
• Date of the transaction.
• Amount of the donation or sponsorship.
• The specific reason for the refund request (must fall within the exceptions listed above).

Cancellation of Tax Receipt: If a refund is granted, the original tax receipt issued for the donation (if one was provided) will be immediately cancelled and is no longer valid for income tax purposes.

 

Part 2: 

 

Merchandise Sales (GGDI Shop)
Merchandise sales are treated as a commercial transaction, and therefore, different refund and return rules apply compared to donations. All profits from merchandise sales support the mission of G.G.D.I. and 7GENZ.

 

Returns and Exchanges
Eligibility: Merchandise is eligible for return or exchange if it is unworn, unwashed, unused, and in its original condition with all tags still attached.

 

Time Limit: You may initiate a return or exchange within 143 days of the date you received the item.

 

Non-Returnable Items: The following items are considered final sale and cannot be returned or exchanged unless they arrive damaged or defective:

  • Gift cards.

  • Sale or clearance items.

  • Custom or personalized products.

 

Damaged or Defective Items
If your merchandise arrives damaged, defective, or if you receive the wrong item, please contact us immediately at sammy71@ggdi.earth within 7 days of receipt.

Please include a photo of the defect/damage and your order number. We will provide a return shipping label and, upon inspection, offer a replacement or a full refund, including shipping costs.

​

Return Shipping
Standard Returns/Exchanges: The customer is generally responsible for all shipping costs associated with returning the merchandise for a refund or exchange, unless the item is defective or an error occurred on our part.

 

Processing: Once the returned merchandise is received and inspected, we will send an email to notify you that we have received your returned item. If approved, your refund will be processed, and a credit will automatically be applied to your original method of payment within 10-14 business days.
